The war began on 1 September 1939 when Germany decided to invade Poland. Captain Alfred Haupt was not only a veteran of the First World War, but also one of the first victims of the Second World War.
He was born on 28 September 1898 in Hannover-Kirchrode and would eventually die in Poland.
The frame is closed at the back, as can be clearly seen in the photograph.
Equipped with a wall mounting option.
The dimensions are approximately: 31 cm wide and 6 cm high.
The frame shows some signs of age.
