This was a military decoration of the Soviet Union, established on 9 May 1945 by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in recognition of military participation in the victory of the Soviet Armed Forces over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.

This medal is in excellent condition with very few visible dents and scratches on both sides and sharp details on the raised parts of the medal.
